As I pulled out of a parking lot The vehicle suddenly jerked 90 degrees to the left and accelerated quickly into a ditch and a retaining wall. All airbags deployed.
I purchased a new 26 BMW I7 with the Rear Theater and Executive seating options, for my [XXX] & [XXX] daughter's to enjoy. The screen broke day one, and has spent 10 days in the shop the first 44 days of my ownership. Beyond my reliability, and technical issuws the car has a major safety flaw/concern i asked BMW to address. With the rear screen down and blinds up i have zero rear view mirror visibility. BMW did not include the necessary rear view mirroor camera to allow for visibility out of the rear view windo. Watch this video Below: [XXX] . I took it in to address this blatant safety concern, and they quoted me $4300 to install the required safety feature. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSU…
[XXX] Problem: Multiple tire blowouts causing safety hazards and air-suspension damage Complaint Summary: My 2024 BMW i7 has experienced multiple tire blowouts, including the most recent , two within days of each other (12/8/2025 and 12/10/2025). On 12/8/2025, BMW replaced the right rear tire and advised me that the vehicle was safe to drive. Two days later, the left rear tire suffered the same sudden failure, requiring another tow. These failures occurred during normal driving and immediately after BMW dealership inspection and clearance. In addition to these recent events, earlier blowouts on this vehicle have already caused damage to the air-suspension system, requiring repairs. Th…
My knee has accidentally opened the driver door during travel which has caused the door to open unintentionally and brings the car to a stop in traffic.
Yesterday again my 2024 I7 x50 bmw suddenly engaged its auto brakes. I have been in communication with different dealers trying to repair this problem as it almost cause another accident. Luckily there was no cars behind me and there was no cars ahead of me. The cars door also would not close. I have video evidence of this
This is the 4th time I am having issues with this car. Major safety issues. Yesterday during during on the 405 freeway. It suddenly started to rain, the wiper malfunction while in traffic and pouring rain. A week before this incident, the steering of the car kept moving suddenly out of my line. This time my son was in the car. These dealerships do not really care to even look at it, they drive the car for 2 miles and return it with a no problem found issue. Enough is Enough. The last time it was taking to the dealership after the automatic brakes would engage suddenly, they advise me that car was taken to a mechanic which is ridiculous. I am not in communication with BMW head quarters and th…

On August 15, 2025 at approximately 6:30pm our 2024 BMW i7 eDrive50 with the Active Park Distance Control package accelerated in reverse when parking assistance was initiated to back out of a parking space at a small business facility, causing the vehicle to strike a tree. The cronology of the incident is as follows: 1. While the driver had his foot on the brake, he touched the assisted parking icon on the dashboard display to enable the automatic backup system. 2. The driver then lifted his foot from the brake and the vehicle accelerated in reverse despite the driver NOT having his foot on the gas pedal. 3. The backup camera did not engage or show the backup view when the car was moving qui…
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

There may or may not be a drivability complaint associated with the fault.
After replacement of the Integrated Braking system (IB)/Power Brake the total distance covered might belower than when handed over to the workshop for the repair.
âCrackingâ noise might be heard when turning the steering wheel from lock to lock. See attached video V3202 26 EPS noise.
A faulty electric auxiliary heater may have been installed in the certain vehicles. This could result in thefailure of the electric auxiliary heater, utilized for the vehicle interior.
The vehicle will no longer move when put into gear. There may also be loud noise coming from the HEAT*(electric drivetrain)/Rear axles.
Charging sessions cannot be started or they are interrupted while using a Level 2 AC high-power chargingstation, or with a Level 3 DC charging station. Charging may start normally but can interrupt after some time. Level 2 (240 V) Flex Charger and Wall boxmay also be affected. The red or white LED is displayed on the high-voltage charging socket; however, no associated fault codesare stored.
SITUATION When turning the steering wheel fully to the steering end stops, a âgroaningâ noise can be perceived at the respective steering stop. The noise occurs at higher ambient temperatures from approx. 68°F.

Gen 5 BEV/PHEV vehicles may set the Combined Charging Unit (CCU) in programming abort due to no communication to the HV charge socket electronics.
When rolling forward or backwards with the steering at full lock (left or right) without the brake applied, a âgroanâ-type noise may be heard from the front axle. The noise is most noticeable after load reversal. The noise can be heard beginning at the 7 second time stamp.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2023–2026, owners most often name: forward collision avoidance, electrical system, service brakes. 25 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
