Audi number AWA-19-03 covers the crankcase ventilation valve extended warranty for 2013-2016 audi models less than 10 years old and with less than 120,000 miles. My vehicle meets the year and mileage requirements, but is a 2017 model with the same problem as the 2013-2016 models. I paid to have the dealer perform the repairs because they said there was no extended warranty. Audi USA also said they can not find the extended warranty. I would like Audi to cover the cost of this repair. Even thought it is a year newer, it it the same problem experienced on the earlier models. Audi did not correct the problem.
COMPLAINT: Authorized dealer non-compliance with NHTSA Compliance Recall 25V900 (Rearview Camera Software, FMVSS No. 111). Vehicle is a 2019 Audi A8 subject to Recall 25V900, issued by the manufacturer in January 2026. The recall work was scheduled with an authorized Audi dealer in Southern California by telephone. The dealership representative confirmed an appointment for April 17, 2026 at 2:30 PM and represented that the service would take approximately two hours. The appointment was then confirmed in writing three separate times by SMS from the dealership: twice from its scheduling line on April 15 and April 16, 2026, and once on April 16 at 12:38 PM by a Business Development Manager fr…
Engine totaled because of oil starvation I'm guessing or maybe an oil pump failure oil starvation caused Pistons to rub inside of head cost of engine and work is more than the vehicles cost so that means car is totaled
See attached document for complaint. I took my 2021 AUDI A8 to Audi Rockville located at 1125 Rockville Pike; Rockville, MD 20852 on July 18 to fix the recall. After waiting for 2 hours at the dealership, they told me they must go to BestBuy to buy a USB stick and asked if we could re-schedule which we did. I then came back on September 30, and again after 2 hours of waiting, they told me the USB port in the car is not working and that I must pay over $1000 to replace the USB Port so that they can perform the recall. As such we could not get the update done. I followed up with Audi North America Headquarters in Michigan, and they basically told me the same thing that the dealer told me. Thi…
My cars rack and pinion went out with the mileage just over 100,000 miles and I was told that this is a problematic something to do with the inappropriate silicone. Spending $85,000 on a car you would think that this is not something you would have to experience. The car was making a little bit of noise, turning left or right couple days later than it completely went out on me and had to drive the car like I was driving a vehicle with no power steering.
My backup camera turns off when I am backing up. I can no longer see behind my vehicle and I do not get any warnings that a car is approaching from either side of my vehicle. On a more minor note the sun roof opened on its own while I was driving on a highway during a rain storm

The pcv oil separator has failed and is making a whistling sound. From researching this issue it is widely known and an investigation shows it is caused in relation to a recall for the oil strainer that was done on this vehicle. I called audi dealership and they said this is not an open recall, however it seems this is exactly what caused it.

A particularly noticeable factor is the vibration of the air column in a tire. When a tire starts to vibrate because of the road contact, this can lead to cavity resonances inside the tire that are transmitted via the wheel rim and the running gear to the vehicle interior. Because of the vehicle design and due to the specific properties of different wheel and tire combinations, a whining noise can occur at high speeds. This is a result of toroidal resonance whose frequency is noticeable between 180 - 250 Hz irrespective of the vehicle speed.
This bulletin provides information when there are cracks on the friction ring surface on ceramic brake discs.
This bulletin provides information when there is a wheel/tire imbalance.
This bulletin provides information for all models regarding brake sounds.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
NHTSA received a petition on or about July 18, 2022, requesting that Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 141 be applied to all electric and hybrid vehicles operating in the United States. The petition can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov under ODI Number 11486072. FMVSS 141 establishes performance requirements for pedestrian alert sounds for motor vehicles. In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2027, owners most often name: engine, electrical system, unknown or other. 167 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
