What Alfa Romeo Giulia owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Alfa Romeo Giulia safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

No remedy for the already existing recall Turbo o ring wears out leaking oil Sensor issues front go off due to license plate cover While in n drive the car does not engage auto stop/start
Since I first got this vehicle I noticed that whenever Iâm driving over 10 mph and more. The vehicle registers 2 miles faster than the actual speed. Example. Going 55 on my speedometer the car is actually only going 53. Doing the math that is putting more mileage on the vehicle than the true mileage it should be. Thus lessening the value of the car. Do I have any leverage on this issue?
My Alfa Romeo with VIN [XXX] has an active recall 93C (NHTSA Recall 25V586) related to the Fuel Delivery Module. The recall specifically states that this issue can lead to a sudden loss of drive power while driving and possibly result in a crash. Due to the closure of the dealership in San Antonio where I live and purchased the car, the nearest Alfa Romeo authorized service center is in Austin, Texas. This is a distance of 125 miles from my home and involves primarily driving on highways with 70 mph speed limits. Because this is a critical safety recall, I have already scheduled an appointment with this dealer for the repair; however, when I contacted Alfa Romeo to inquire about arranging a…
1. The fuel delivery/fuel pressure system is malfunctioning. The vehicle has experienced fuel-pressure related diagnostic trouble codes, loss of power, stalling, and limp mode. The fuel pressure sensor was replaced, but the same diagnostic codes and symptoms continued. The symptoms are consistent with the fuel delivery module/fuel pump defect described in NHTSA recall 25V586. The vehicle and affected components are available for inspection upon request. 2. The vehicle repeatedly enters limp mode and has experienced loss of power, stalling, and severe shifting problems, especially with low fuel. I have had to drive 20â30 miles on the freeway while unable to accelerate or shift normally, ne…
My fuel pump started to fail. I am open to having it inspected, the problem is I already replaced it myself because I wasnât aware of the fuel pump recall for the 2017-2019 models. I know my vehicle is a 2020 but it was manufactured in 2019. It happened twice, I was driving on the highway when my car suddenly lost power. I couldnât accelerate and I had to merge through multiple lanes to try and pull over safely. I took it to the Alfa Romeo dealership and they were the ones to tell me my fuel pump was failing. No warning lamps, or messages, just suddenly losing power while driving. They appeared sometime last year and I was fortunate enough to repair it.
I own a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia that recently received a fuel-pump-related recall repair under FCA Recall 93C / NHTSA Campaign 25V-586 at an authorized Alfa Romeo dealership. Approximately three days after the recall repair was completed, I was driving the vehicle in active traffic with my daughter when the vehicle unexpectedly began decelerating and lost drive power. I had to shut the vehicle off, and afterward the vehicle would not restart. The vehicle had to be towed back to the Alfa Romeo dealership. The service advisor subsequently advised me that the current problem was related to the fuel system and that the fuel-related component was being replaced again. The vehicle remains at the …
My 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia lost motive power and was disabled multiple times the most recent on August 3, 2026 due to failure of the fuel delivery module â the same component and failure mode covered by Safety Recall 93C / NHTSA Campaign 25V-586. When I contacted the dealership, they confirmed the recall applied to my vehicle but advised that replacement parts were not available. No loaner or alternate transportation was offered. I was without my vehicle for 8 days and had to rent a vehicle at my own expense. FCA US filed this recall on September 9, 2025 stating that the remedy was still under development. Owners were left without a repair path for an extended period on a defect the manuf…
The contact owns a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On January 8, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation (PE24003) to assess allegations of loss of motive power resulting from low-pressure fuel pump failures in certain MY 2017â2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia vehicles. The subject vehicles are equipped with 2.0L 4-cylinder and 2.9L 6-cylinder turbocharged engines and manufactured by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US LLC (FCA US).  Reports received by ODI alleged stall and loss of motive power at speeds above 25 mph, w

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2017–2026, owners most often name: fuel/propulsion system, engine, electrical system. 276 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
