UNKNOWN Unit is 2023 Airstream RV International 23 ft Travel Trailer. My concern is that the manufacturer does not provide proper tire inflation guidance. They only state what amounts to be the maximum tire pressure from the tire mfr. Not a recommended pressure which should be much lower. Goodyear tire info (supplied for my unit) states 80 psi max. Goodyear chart states approx 30 psi per tire for my unit. Tires are Goodyear Endurance ST 225/75 R15. Airstream sticker states 80 psi which is far too high and incorrect for safe operation. Dealers and customers have no proper guidance and over inflate, causing a safety issue.
The trailer door latch fell off and trapped us inside for about an hour. There was no one around to help us at our campsite and no telephone cell service. We had no tools other than a butter knife to try and jamb the latch lock. We did finally manage to get of the trailer on our own by using brut force. This is a extremely dangerous problem that AirStream could easily fix. Yes, there is an escape window but breaking a window and screen is a last ditch effort and requires some agility on the occupants part to jump out of. Thinking of all the wildfires these days it would be awful to be trapped in a trailer or to have a fire break out inside the trailer and not be able to escape.
EZ-HITCH HAS AN ACTIVE RECALL NOTICE AND WAS NOT FIXED BY AIRSTREAM OF VIRGINIA DEALERSHIP PRIOR TO SELLING THIS UNIT TO ME ON 5/29/20. RECALL NOTICE WAS PUBLISHED 12/2019. DUE TO IMPROPER WELDING, THE DEMCO BALL COUPLER INSTALLED ON THE TRAVEL TRAILERS MAY NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH CLAMPING FORCE ON THE TOW BALL, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE COUPLER TO SEPARATE FROM THE TOW BALL. IF THE COUPLER SEPARATES FROM THE TOW BALL, THE TRAILER CAN DETACH FROM THE TOW VEHICLE, POSING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
