I am the owner of a 2020 Airstream Atlas motorhome (VIN [XXX] ). The vehicle has a recurring and unresolved slide-out defect that presents a serious safety hazard. While driving at highway speeds, the slide-out repeatedly disengaged and extended approximately 2â3 inches, triggering alarms and forcing me to pull over multiple times to reset the system. This occurred on numerous occasions during a long trip and posed a danger to myself and other motorists. The slide-out defect was documented previously under the prior owner at low mileage and was not permanently repaired. Despite extended repair attempts, the condition persists. After operating the vehicle with this unresolved slide-out de…
Adaptive cruise control turns all Advanced Driver Assistance Systems if it does not sense that there is a vehicle ahead for a period of approx. 45 minutes. The system completely shuts down and cannot be reset manually. After approx. 45 minutes the system turns back on. This happened to me 4 times as I drove across the US. Not have any Advances Driver Assistance Systems operating for a period of 45 minutes is highly dangerous. Apparently there is a fix but it is not currently recognized by Mercedes.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

Airstream has discovered that early 2021 Model Year units were shipped with Magnum MMS1012-G Inverter/Charger's designed for AGM batteries, instead of the proper âÂÂLâ series inverters designed for use with lithium batteries. While the incorrect inverters are not harmful to the lithium batteries, the affected vehicles would not be getting maximum charging to the batteries. This procedure is set up to make sure the proper MMS1012-G âÂÂLâ Series inverters are installed, and if not, it outlines the process for swapping out the inverter.
AGM battery system enhancements to verify the Magnum Inverter Charger MMS1012-G has the proper battery charge settings, fuses, and wiring for AGM batteries.
If the air ride system is locked in the down position it will not automatically adjust to the correct ride height once the vehicle is in motion. The motorhome is still safe to drive until the service bulletin can be performed. However, if the air suspension has been deflated the airbags must be re-inflated to the correct ride height position prior to operating the vehicle.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2018–2024, owners most often name: equipment, forward collision avoidance, structure. 2 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
