What Toyota Crown owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Toyota Crown safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The dash board screen blackout while driving. I pulled over and tried power off and on a couple of times. The dash is still blank. I drove the car to the dealer. They could not identify the problem. The 2nd day when they work on diagnosis, the dash screen works. But they did not find the reason.

The main panel in front of the driver continues to turn off SAYS DRIVER'S FACE UNAVAILABLE, SIT UP, and MORE other features of the car THAT PREVENT THE CAR FROM FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY AND FAILS TO ALLOW ME TO ENJOY MY NEW CAR. TURNS CRUISE CONTROL OFF, BEEPS NON STOP, THIS WAS A PREVIOUS RECALL THAT TOYOTA CLAIMS "THEY FIXED VIA OVER THE AIR UPDATES"! iT HAS NOT FIXED THIS PROBLEM DESPITE ASSURANCES. mileage 26400. 3 OF MY 4 CARS ARE TOYOTA AND ENGAGEMENT SHOULD BE RENAMED ALIENATION AND A WASTE OF TOYOTA OWNERS TIME. At approximately 6,700 miles, a rock/road debris passed through the large openings in the factory front grille of my 2025 Toyota Crown Signia XLE Hybrid and punctured the A/C condenser behind the grille. The A/C system lost refrigerant and stopped cooling. A Toyota dealer inspected the vehicle, confirmed the punctured condenser, and replaced it. Availability of the removed component for inspection is UNKNOWN. The safety issue became apparent while driving in rain, when the windshield began fogging and the failed A/C system could not effectively dehumidify the air and clear the windshield, reducing forward visibility. There were no warning lamps or messages before the failure. The first sym…
The Carplay connectivity of the infotainment system is unreliable. While driving, the map directions and/or phone calls unexpectedly drop out. When the Carplay connection terminates, it forces the driver to operate the touch screen in order to reestablish the connection. This is a dangerous distraction. Unfortunately, my Toyota dealer (Ken Ganley Toyota 1110 Clairton Blvd Pleasant Hills PA 15236) has examined my system multiple times and has not been able to correct this malfunction.
The vehicle intermittently experiences a loss of engine power or significant hesitation when accelerating from a stop or from a slow speed. This has occurred multiple times, including when accelerating from a complete stop and after making a low-speed turn. This creates a safety risk when pulling into traffic, crossing an intersection, turning into traffic, or accelerating from a stop or slow speed because the vehicle does not accelerate as expected, increasing the risk of a collision. We live in a rural areas where we pull onto high speed roads. My wife is scared to take the car after a close call when the car would not accelerate. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership multiple t…
Engine sporadically loses power or hesitates when accelerating from a stop or slower speed. Have experienced when making a low-speed turn and/or when accelerating from a stop. This has happened on multiple occasions and has been taken to the dealer to investigate. However, they never fix anything because they say they could not replicate and there was no known recall or TSB for the specific vehicle at the time.
lower exterior door molding panels completely detach and fly off the vehicle at highway speeds due to a failure of the factory plastic mounting clips, creating an immediate road debris hazard for vehicles traveling behind me.
When vehicles comes to a stop, sometimes there is a hesitation in vehicle acceleration. Vehicle will jerk, then accelerate 3-4 seconds after pressing down throttle. Car does not provide or show error codes. There is currently a Toyota Service Bulletin for the exact same issue for the Toyota highlander (TSB-0017-24) which address the issue "Hesitation felt while accelerating at low speeds." And the fix involves a software update for the engine control unit. Since there is no official documentation for the Toyota crown platinum which shares the same engine configuration, Toyota refuses to provide a resolution. This puts vehicles occupants at risk of a crash, as if you are expecting to accelera…
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
OBSOLETE NOTICE August 20, 2026: This bulletin is now obsolete. Please see T-SB-0051-26.
This bulletin includes basic procedures for performing a rescue charge at battery on high voltage (HV) Ni-MH and Li-ion batteries.
2026 model year Toyota vehicles are equipped with driver side floor mat retainers to secure the floor mat in the correct position. In addition, some models may also utilize retainers for passenger side and rear seat floor mats. During Pre-Delivery Service (PDS), follow the appropriate Installation Procedure to attach the driver side, and if applicable, the passenger side and rear seatfloor mats to the vehicle carpet using the floor mat retainers.
During the manufacturing process, tires are mounted on the vehicle as matched sets to help reduce conditions such as pulling or drifting. If the wheels are replaced or refinished before vehicle delivery, it is important that the tires remain on the vehicle in the same location and in the same direction of rotation.
A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and service life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life.
Long-term or off-site storage requires special care to maintain vehicle condition. The following guidelines should be performed to minimize vehicle component/part degradation due to extendedvehicle storage conditions. Long-term storage can affect a vehicleâs systems and components. Any problems that are found should be corrected immediately.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2023–2026, owners most often name: engine, unknown or other, electrical system. 59 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
