What Ram C/V owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Ram C/V safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM C/V TRADESMAN. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. A FEW SECONDS LATER LOW FUEL WARNING APPEARED. FUEL INDICATOR GUAGE SHOWED NO FUEL. AT THIS POINT I HAD 3/4 TANK OF FUEL. I HAD TANKED UP THE DAY BEFORE. PM WAS JUST REPLACED ABOUT A MONTH AGO. DROVE VEHICLE BACK HOME, PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED AT THIS TIME ON SAT 6-29-19. I ONLY HAVE 38000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE.
WHEN STARTING TO ACCELERATE THE TRANSMISSION AREA DOES A HARD JERK FORWARD FROM 1-2 GEAR. WHEN DOING A HARD STOP ALSO DOES A HARD LUNGE FORWARD WHICH HAS ALMOST CAUSE A COUPLE ACCIDENTS. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I EXPERIENCE THE TRUCK DOING THIS.
THIS IS A FLEET VEHICLE USED FOR SECURITY SYSTEMS INSTALLATION. IN JUNE OF 2016 DRIVER NOTICED LARGE POOL OF ENGINE OIL ON THE GROUND UNDER THE PARKED TRUCK. THE TOP OF THE ENGINE HAD OIL POOLED UNDER MANIFOLD AND THE LEAK APPEARED TO BE COMING FROM THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. CLEANED THE ENGINE AND REPLACED THE SENSOR. THE TRUCK HAD 45,612 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AT THIS TIME. OIL LEAKAGE DETECTED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE BUT ORIGIN OF LEAK COULDN'T BE FOUND. ON 24 JANUARY 2019 THE TECHNICIAN WHO OPERATES THIS VEHICLE CAME OUT TO GO TO WORK AND NOTICED A LARGE POOL OF ENGINE OIL IN THE DRIVEWAY UNDER HIS TRUCK. I HAVE A 2013 DODGE RAM TRADESMAN THAT WAS BUILT DEC 12, 2012. LAST 8 OF THE VIN ARE DG509430, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CODE SAYS AC BYPASS VALVE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL: RAM RECALL # N25, NHTSA COMPLAINT# 13V177000. NOW THE SERVICE DEPT AT DODGE AND THE CUSTOMER CARE CENTER SAYS MY TRUCK IS NOT ON THE RECALL. I WANT TO KNOW WHY, IS THIS JUST A COINCIDENCE, I THINK NOT. THE TRUCK HAS 39000 MILES ON IT
THE FUEL SENSOR FAILED AFTER ONLY 60,000 MILES. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH A POOR PRODUCT, ACCORDING TO WEB SEARCHES THAT I HAVE COMPLETED. THE GAS GAUGE GOES OFF AND ON LEAVING THE DRIVER WITHOUT A CLEAR IDEA OF THE STATUS OF THE FUEL. IN THE CASE OF CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE IN THE WINTER, THIS IS DANGEROUS.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2013–2016, owners most often name: engine, electrical system, fuel/propulsion system. 12 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
