The contact owns a 2014 Maserati Quattroporte. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the transmission would randomly shift into the manual position. Also, while driving the message "Service Parking Brake" had remain displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who performed a software update but the failures continued to occurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failures but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 83,000.

Maserati has had several complaints of the leather dashboard seperating from the dashboard which becomes a visibility issue while driving it the leather flops up high enough and front of the windshield. They need to issue a recall on these dashboards. And they won't help you if your car is out of warranty.
The Maserati SQ4 car exterior laminated safety glass on the front window shield, the four door side windows and rear window are delaminating from the edges inward. The systems that failed is the emergency parking brake, as well as, the tire pressure monitoring system. Both systems would be available for inspection on request. Due to the failure of the emergency parking brake places not only the safety of others but myself, as well, at risk in the event of an emergency braking situation. Due to the failure of the tire pressure monitoring system could also place others safety and myself at risk by causing a tire to be flat without me being aware. The back seat - seat belt strangles the neck ( my husband tried it & it was the sane) & if in accident the seat belt will break the neck or cause death & there is no way to adjust even when var was not moving the seat belt left marks on my neck - when traveling at 40 miles per hour it was excruciatingly painful - this is a major safety problem since wearing a seatbelt is totally necessary - dealer is unresponsive. There are other safety issues with this car & I just learned there is no crash test data
THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK, ONLY DRIVER SIDE WORK. THE UNLOCK FEATURE WORK BUT PRESSING THE REMOTE OR DOOR BUTTON WILL NOT LOCK THE DOOR. THE AUTO DOOR LOCK AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE DOES NOT WORK EITHER.
