NHTSA SAFETY COMPLAINT NARRATIVE Vehicle: 2016 Lexus RC F | VIN: [XXX] Recall: Campaign 26LA05 (Fuel Pump Kit 04002-19238) Dealer: Nalley Lexus Roswell | Invoice: RO# [XXX] Odometer: In: 87,174 | Out: 87,177 (Only 3 test miles driven) DEFECT & EVIDENCE: Lexus introduced a severe post-recall safety defect and refuses to repair it. Following recall work, the vehicle immediately developed an engine stumble and limp-mode condition under high acceleration (4,000â7,000 RPM), matching peak fuel demand. The dealer pulled static camshaft circuit codes (P1365/P1367) and falsely claimed a "coincidental" component failure, refusing to run dynamic fuel-pressure tests. I have video proof disproving thei…
The contact owns a 2015 Lexus RC. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V222000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that the recall repair was not properly performed, and the vehicle had to be taken back to the dealer five times. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer, where the technicians confirmed that the recall repair was performed incorrectly due to the O-rings being improperly installed. After the recall repair, the check engine warning light and the traction control warning light illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 61,000.
26V222 Recall. The dealership wonât do my recall. I donât get why they canât give me the part and I sign a waiver for it. Iâm owed a part for my car.
I have a Lexus rcf 2017. Thereâs a safety recall for a low pressure fuel pump. This recall has come out years later after the car has been bought. I am the 3rd owner. I bought the car in 2026. I bought the car with aftermarket work done on it, but I didnât think there would be any recalls. The LPFP has wires hooked up to another fuel pump in the trunk for handling performance. With that said, Lexus didnât want to do the recall. I asked all 3 numbers I called if I can just be given the part, and I sign a waiver that I get a 1 time item and Lexus has 0 responsibility for me getting it installed somewhere else. They said no and thatâs thereâs laws. I donât get the rules. Why does …
On March 26, 2026 my vehicle was towed to dealership and diagnosed with a bad fuel pump. On April 8 it was recalled for this pump. It has been sitting at the dealership since then, almost 4 months, with Lexus claiming they do not know when they can fix it due to the recall. This complaint is because the vehicle is not being repaired in a timely manner and I do not have use or possession of it.
The driver and front passenger side window glass in my 2025 Lexus RC 350 F Sport exhibits a severe optical distortion that impairs visibility. The glass has a persistent fog or haze appearance and a grid-like dot pattern visible in daylight. At night, the defect causes significant glare, halos, and visual distortion from headlights and streetlights, making safe driving difficult The defect was present on the original factory-installed glass when the vehicle was new. At a Lexus dealership, aftermarket window tint was removed to rule out tint-related causes. The defect remained present. The dealership then replaced the affected windows with brand-new OEM Lexus glass. The defect reappeared was…
Vehicle does had a hard time starting and now does not start. Research indicates this is a known problem on this vehicle but my vehicle doesnât seem to be included in the recall The main recall for the Lexus RC200t is due to a failing low-pressure fuel pump, which can cause the engine to stall while driving.

Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

The Immobilizer and Smart Key Reset is a feature that allows the registration of new keys when all master keys are lost. Once the system is reset, all previously registered keys will be erased and can never be reused. Another feature, Add/Remove Key, is also available. Once a key is removed, it can never be reused.

Some 2010 â 2026 model year Lexus vehicles may exhibit paint stains after the removal of Rapgardâ¢. The paint stains may appear to be under the clear coat but are usually under wrinkles in the Rapgardâ¢. The wrinkles may trap water and cause the paint to stain from the trapped moisture, especially on horizontal surfaces such as the hood, roof, and trunk.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 20

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
