2022 Infinity QX55 Luxe.....Rear door lock system issues...The door jams and you cannot open the door from the inside and outside of the vehicle. This creates a serious safety issue. People can be trapped inside the car and first responders cannot get the door open...It is a problem with the door actuator and unlock cable design. I have had one door fixed previously with new factory parts by the dealer service.dept. Now the other rear door is having the same issue. This is a serious safety issue as there is not warning for this to happen. There is no way to exit the vehicle from that seat in the event of an accident.
Complete sudden engine failure , motor lost acceleration. It started with engine knocking then full and complete engine failure. Oil light illuminated when engine failed. I did check the engine and oil was full on a cold engine and the vehicle is properly maintained as it is a leased infiniti vehicle. Please note there have been two previous engine light incidents. First I was told it was a speaker in the rear door, second I was informed it was an evaporation seal. Lastly was this very intense engine shut down. I have research and found that there are issues with the turbo bearing with my particular engine and turbo. Engine 2.OL 4 cylinder ( KR20DDET)

Weâve taken the vehicle to two different Infiniti dealerships (Sewell and Crest) multiple times due to engine rattling, vibration noises, and propulsion issues. Unfortunately, we havenât received any resolution or fix for these problems. We tried to upload a video with sound as reference but the platform doesnât allow us to. We experienced similar issue that resulted in total engine failure on the highway with our children in the car in our Yukon Denali. We are fearful that something similar will occur. Please Help!!!
I have received email from my car dealer Grubbs Infiniti in Grapevine, TX. The email was regarding a recall for potential engine issues. I called my dealer and scheduled an inspection. I called my dealer again and they took the car, fixed it and sent it back. NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On December 13, 2023, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE23-023 to investigate allegations of engine failures leading to loss of motive power in model year (MY) 2021-2023 Nissan Rogue; MY 2019-2021 Nissan Altima; and MY 2019-2021 Infiniti QX50 vehicles. At that time, ODI had received 6 Vehicle Owner Questionnaires (VOQ) and multiple early warning reports, with consumers reporting engine knocking noises accompanied by a loss of engine power while driving. The investigation identif
Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2022–2025, owners most often name: engine, seats, engine and engine cooling. 12 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
