What Hyundai Venue owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Hyundai Venue safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The contact owned a 2024 Hyundai Venue. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle, the horn was not operating. The contact stated that the vehicle had previously experienced the same failure. Additionally, the ABS warning light and the tire pressure warning light were illuminated on the instrument panel. The dealer was contacted about the failure but did not assist due to warranty limitations related to the high mileage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dealer confirmed the failure with the horn assembly and ordered the part for the repair. The failure mileage was 120,000.
This is a brand new car with 35 miles on it. It was purchased in the daytime. This part is important because the first time I drove it at night the headlights barely illuminate the road. I mean a 65 VW BUG with a 6 volt system had better headlights. The dealer knew this about the cars and refuses to do anything about it
I bought this Hyundai Venue because it came with a manual transmission, which I prefer driving, however the transmission has been the biggest issue with this vehicle. It has a tendency to get stuck in reverse, most often when changing gear on a slight incline or decline. This has left me frantically trying to force the transmission out of reverse and into first. It's really scary when this happens in traffic (ex: reversing out of a parallel park). Sometimes you have to "rock" the car by reversing further (if you have space), clutching in and jiggling the shifter, but that doesn't always work. This started happening so frequently that I took the car to Pohanka Hyundai of Fredericksburg and t…
1. Front drivers headlight is out, second went inside a restaurant at around 3am to get something to eat and door won't open ,dead battery i guess. 3rd while backing up another vehicle also ran into me, when I blew the horn. No horn or sound.
When I drive my 2022 Hyundai venue, when I put it in reverse and the camera comes on, it works fine but when I go back to drive after backing out of my parking space, the camera is still visible from behind and the only way it goe off the screen is if I put the car in park and then put it back in drive. This has been happening for a month.
I was driving and the dashboard went haywire and all the warning lights started going on and off and the speedometer kept going down to 0 while driving. This kept going on and off and the radio would then go on and off as well.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Venue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the horn was inoperable. The failure nearly caused a collision. Additionally, the theft alarm system was also inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a second dealer, Green Hyundai (601 W Stanford Ave, Springfield, IL 62704), who replaced the horn six times; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the horn was covered under warranty. The contact stated that the vehicle was denied the lemon law claim. The failure mileage was unknown.
The car horn stopped working. Replaced the fuse and still not working.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the presence of substandard and dangerous driverâs-side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN). These inflators were not supplied, approved, or authorized by the vehicle manufacturers and have primarily been found in vehicles that previously experienced a crash and underwent airbag replacement using non-genuine parts. These dangerous inflators have ruptured during deployment, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to metal fragments entering the vehicle
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued an urgent safety advisory regarding dangerous, counterfeit driverâside airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On August 8, 2022, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened this Recall Query (RQ) based on 3 incidents alleging front seat belt pretensioners that may rupture during deployment, on model year (MY) 2020-2022 of various Hyundai and Kia Models, resulting in 3 injuries (note: one incident occurred outside the U.S. and its territories).Between October 2021 and March 2023, Hyundai and Kia have filed the following 11 safety recalls for pretensioner rupture: NHTSA Recall No. 21V-796, 22V-069, 2

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
