What Honda Prologue owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Honda Prologue safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.
| Year | Complaints | Crashes | Fires | Injured | Deaths | TSBs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 11 | 0 | 0 | 5 | 0 | 6 |

I have just 25k miles on the car and the constant velocity joints are noisy when I turn.
Turning the wheels both forward and backward while moving causes a pinging sound in the CV joint. I have started hearing this noise after 20,000 miles and the noise is getting louder. I am concerned either the axle will give out or the CV joint will break causing an accident.
Took car to Ed Voyles Honda to get several issues addressed, one of which was this recall. Other issues were fixed but for this recall I was told that they don't actually replace the camera until there is an issue. Recall issue was not addressed.
I purchased a new Honda EV earlier this month, but after several weeks, the HondaLink App is still not working properly. I have contacted both OnStar and North Honda multiple times. Both have said they completed the required work, but the issue remains unresolved. I also have to follow up every few days instead of receiving proactive updates. HondaLink is very important for EV owners, including vehicle status, location, remote charging, remote climate control, and EV programs such as National Grid home-charging incentives. At this point, I still do not know when this issue will be resolved. If I had known about this issue before purchasing the vehicle, I believe it would have been treated…
Thumping noise from front axle had repaired and it just came back a month later. It happens when you are at a slow speed and turning the wheel all the way like when you are parking mostly.
Backing out of parking space when reverse auto braking suddenly deployed with an extremely harsh jolt wirh a whiplash effect. A person was in the distance approx 40 feet behind not close enough to deploy.
My car has a recall for a defective rareview camera (showing all black). I took it to the dealer 2 months ago and they told me that i have to wait for a camera replacement and that they do not know when the part will be available. This is a major safety issue for me and I am not sure how to expedite the process. Or what are the alternatives as I need a car but do not feel safe driving it. Thanks!
At night rear view camera is dark unable to see objects, safety hazard. It is working, but does not have proper lighting. I have brought in to Honda and they have not resolved issue. State they can not duplicate issue.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2024–2026, owners most often name: steering, suspension, electrical system. 1,003 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
