What Buick Regal TourX owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Buick Regal TourX safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The contact owns a 2020 Buick Regal TourX. The contact stated that while her daughter was attempting to adjust the front driverâs seat, she heard a snapping sound and the seat then failed to respond. Upon inspection, the contactâs daughter discovered that the front driverâs seat lower cross bar had detached, and the seat could not be adjusted, rendering the vehicle unsafe to operate. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V762000 (SEATS). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure…
Check engine light came on, reads reduced power and is causing problems accelerating
My check engine light came on along with my traction control light, and "Reduced Engine Power" popped up. This is connected to a recall on this vehicle for a connector at the throttle pedal.
Rear camera and cross traffic warning system malfunctions randomly, working less than half the time. When the vehicle is put in reverse the system and camera often do not work and issue a notice that it needs serviced. On several occasions it did not warn me of a person behind my vehicle or another vehicle behind me. I have avoided accidents but the system is not working. I have been reading about it and it is common among this vehicle, many complaining that this is the worst rear collision camera on a car. The screen is just black, sometimes with grid lines and sometimes without. On the rare occasion the camera turns on the grid lines often disappear although they are not turned off.
Shift to park message in DIC along with audible warning, even though car in park. Will not allow you to lock car, will run down battery. Have to play with shifter to stop. Eventually couldn't get it to stop. Per dealer "Possible intermittent failure of the park switch in transmission shift control. Need to replace transmission shift control assembly." Car out of warranty, cost was $726.21. Dealer said this was an updated part.
Ever since we purchased the vehicle new in 2020 we had an issue with intermittent mulfunction of the parking and cross traffic alerts indicators. The backup camera screen often fails to indicate whether there is cross traffic and from which side. The issue is present about 8/10 times. While the vehicle was under warranty we took it multiple times to two GM dealerships. Technicians updated the vehicle software but the issue remained. It is now going on 4th year that we don't know whether a parking sensor is beeping from our angled driveway or if there is a vehicle approaching from either (and which side!?) of our street, rendering these optional safety feature unreliable. In addition to docu…
RECALL NOT COMPLETED? The previous GM Buick Dealership I went to, appears they will not or can not confirm that the Buick June, 2022 Recall (Braking issue) work was done in October, 2022 at Key Chevrolet Buick GM in South Burlington, VT. I have contacted both the Dealership and Manufacturer (Buick) current Case # 9-10190079245 twice and Buick (Corporate) is trying to contact the Key GM Buick Dealership to confirm the Recall work has been done and if done, then remove the still pending Recall notice that is still showing the Recall still needs to be done.
We were Christmas shopping driving down city streets when we heard a loud popping sound. When we pulled over to see what it was, the front passengerâs side seat belt buckle release no longer worked but the seat belt came out without resistance. It has not worked since. The dealer has confirmed the issue but says the part is back ordered without estimated delivery date. By the way, I have looked for parts in junkyards. I have found junk yards with TourXes but not this part as it has already been sold. I have the part if you want to inspect it.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 20

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2018–2020, owners most often name: back over prevention, engine, unknown or other. 17 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
