Re; Audi Q4 etron vin [XXX] On XXX while on my driveway, approaching the garage, a sound came from the dashboard, a written message appeared on the screen, and almost simultaneously the car suddenly accelerated, going thru the partially open garage door, hitting the left side of the car already parked on the right side of the garage, and hitting the central air conditioning unit in front of it, damaging both cars, the air conditioning unit, garage cabinets, sink, and shelving. We have asked Audi to look into the carâs computer/recorder to see what information they can extract without avail. We recognize that some cases of unexpected unintended acceleration may actually be driver error,…
Within the first 6 months of owning the car my 2024 Audi Q4 E-tron premium door handle lock - unlock would not work and the car would intermittently not start. The dealership service replaced the 12-volt battery which has corrected the door handle lock-unlock issue; however, it has not corrected the no start problem. If I exit and enter the car multiple times it will eventually start (automatic seat start). The dealership service department cannot reproduce the problem therefore no solution has been made or offered. I have another appointment to leave the car 9/24/26 - due to additional starting concerns - on 9/11/26 my car would not start while at the dealership and a member of the servic…
On Friday, XXX, I stopped my vehicle in a parking spot, exited, and returned to my vehicle. I put it in drive, moved from the parking spot, and before I could reach 10 mph, the vehicle began to shake/vibrate violently, and the dash lit up with electrical system malfunction warning. On Saturday, XXX, my [XXX] daughter, who was driving my [XXX] and [XXX] daughters home, called me to tell me that the vehicle failed and that she had "safely pulled into someoneâs driveway". We had been out of town, and she was caring for her sisters and my vehicle has the carseats. My [XXX] daughters frequently drive my car. She was a mile away from home, so she did âthe routineâ. She had to do this 5 time…
The high-voltage charging system has repeatedly malfunctioned. The vehicle intermittently displays a "Charging System Malfunction" warning and a message that only AC charging is possible, the charge-port indicator blinks green and then red, and the vehicle cannot be reliably charged. The vehicle and the affected charging components are available for inspection on request. Safety risk: because the vehicle cannot be dependably charged, it can be left without sufficient power to complete a trip, creating a risk of losing motive power and leaving the driver stranded, potentially on a roadway or in an unsafe location. The affected onboard charger is the subject of Audi Safety Recall 93FR (Onboar…
I am filing a safety complaint regarding my leased 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron, leased new with under 500 miles and now at approximately 8,200 miles. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has ongoing brake-related issues affecting low-speed operation: a rough or grinding brake pedal feel and intermittent brake squeal during rolling stops, turns, and parking maneuvers. The most concerning issue is unexpected parking brake or emergency braking activation during low-speed pull-off and parking maneuvers, causing the vehicle to abruptly jolt to a stop. This has happened approximately four times between March and July 2026, beginning around 6,000 miles, including while pulling …
I am reporting a severe safety recall compliance failure and fraudulent reporting by an authorized dealership regarding a 2023 Audi electric vehicle. On May 30, 2024, under Repair Order 227719, the dealership officially certified to the NHTSA and Audi that Safety Recall 93U6 (Compact/Portable Charging System Cable) was fully completed. The dealership never actually removed or replaced the hazardous, fire-prone charging hardware. The original recalled cable (Part Number: 8V4.971.675.BB) remains in my home and is available for inspection. The dealer falsely reported a federal safety remedy as remedied while leaving a fire-hazardous component in a consumer's possession. The vehicle suffers from…
On three occasions, while in regenerative braking mode, my car failed to engage the brakes at low speeds. After pressing on the brake pedal for several seconds with no response, the wheels then locked completely - but only after the car had traveled had traveled around 30 feet. The dealer has inspected the car and has not been able to replicate the problem, so they say there is nothing they can do to correct it (although they are NOT saying that they don't believe me). There were no warning lights or messages about a failed system - the brakes just didn't work. This was very unnerving to me, and I don't see how I can drive the car without some corrective measures taken. I was fortunate that …
My Audi Q4 Etron has had this issue since it was new. The car has a sensor as part of the drivers seat. Once you sit in the seat the car turn on and you can start driving. The problem is if you make any movements, like turn to look back while your backing the car up or you reach over to pick up something off the passenger front seat the car will abruptly stop and turn off. It can take up to two minutes for the car to start again, twice i was left in the middle of a four lane intersection stranded. The second time it nearly caused an accident as multiple cares slammed their brakes. The dealership said that its a common complaint but there in nothing they can do, i was told to stay sea…

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2022–2026, owners most often name: electrical system, forward collision avoidance, service brakes. 61 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
