Green Mountain Vista recalls all Roman shades due to strangulation hazard from cord exposure. Consumers must stop using and contact WCSC for free repair kit.
Strangulations can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the shade or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.
Green Mountain Vista is recalling all Roman shades because children can get strangled if they place their neck between the cord and fabric or wrap the cord around their neck. This hazard requires immediate action to prevent serious injury.
The Roman shades have a small exposed cord that children can accidentally place between their neck and the fabric, or pull and wrap around their neck. This can cause strangulation without the child needing to be actively pulling on the cord.
Parents and caregivers of young children who own Green Mountain Vista Roman shades are most at risk. Children under age 5 are particularly vulnerable to this strangulation hazard.
Look for Roman shades with a sewn-on label on the back side showing RN#1078:107875. These shades were sold by Green Mountain Vista starting from when they were manufactured.
Immediately stop using the Roman shades as they pose a strangulation risk to children.
