Units: About 4,150 in the U.S. and 17 in Canada
Incidents: The firm received 11 reports of Tailwind Racks breaking, including one report of a minor leg injury in the U.S. and one report of a broken leg in the UK.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the Tailwind Racks immediately and contact Burley to receive a free replacement rack. Burley will replace recalled Tailwind Racks with a steel Moose Rack.
Sold At: Independent bicycle retailers and specialty outdoor retailers nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Biketrailershop.com and other websites from November 2011 through September 2013. Individual racks sold for $65 and Kazoo and Piccolo trailercycles with Tailwind Racks sold for $300 and $350 respectively.
