  • Description: In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Ontel Products Corp., of Fairfield, N.J. is voluntarily recalling 32,000 Little Red Chef Food Slicers, also known as The Kitchen Magic Food Slicer. The exposed slicing blade on top of the unit can cut a consumer's fingers or hand during use.Name of Product: The Little Red Chef Food Slicer, also known as The Kitchen Magic Food SlicerUnits: 32,000Importer: Ontel Products Corp., of Fairfield, N.J.Hazard: The exposed slicing blade on top of the unit can cut a consumer's fingers or hand during use.INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Ontel Products is aware of one report of a consumer cutting her finger while using the product.Description: The recalled red plastic food slicer and dicer contains six roller blades at the front and a single slicing blade on the top. The food slicer is stamped "Made in W. Germany" and "Famos Gerate" on the inside of handle and has a four-pointed star. Only food slicers sold without the protective blade cover are included in this recall.Sold at: QVC, TV direct sales, trade promotion shows nationwide.
