  • Description: PRODUCT: ATVs - American Honda Motor Co., Inc. of Torrance, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 14,400 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). Only the 2002 model-year Honda TRX450 FE/FM and TRX 250 TE/TM are involved in this recall. The TRX 450 FE/FM model has "Foreman" written on the side of the fuel tank. The TRX 250 TE/TM model has "Recon" written on the side of the fuel tank. Honda dealers sold these ATVs nationwide from September 2001 to October 2001 for between $4000 and $6000. PROBLEM: Some wheels have not been properly welded. The wheel could collapse while riding, possibly resulting in serious injury. INCIDENTS/INJURIES: None reported. WHAT TO DO: Consumers should stop using these ATVs immediately and contact their local Honda dealer to schedule an appointment for an inspection and free repair.
